Core Values

We believe the Bible is the absolute Word of God.

God inspired the original writings of Scripture which were without error. The Bible is the complete and only authority for all matters of faith and practice and is all that is necessary for the teaching of truth and the making of disciples.

(2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18, 24:35; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12)

We believe in the Trinity.

There is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things.

(Genesis 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17; John 1:1, 14:1; Colossians 2:9; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe Jesus is the only hope for salvation.

Jesus, God's one and only Son, died and rose again from the dead so that by faith and obedience to Him we will have eternal life with God the Father.

(Luke 23:1-46, 24:1-12; John 3:16-17, 14:6; 1 John 1:7-9)

We believe the plan of salvation as taught in the Bible.

The Bible teaches that salvation, the forgiveness of sin, is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ and that one receives God's grace by putting faith in Christ's sacrifice, repenting of sin, confessing Christ and being immersed in water into Christ for the forgiveness of sin and the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 26:28; Romans 5:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Romans 5:1-2/Luke 24:45-47; Acts 3:19, 17:30; 2 Peter 3:9/Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:11; 1 John 4:15/Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:1-7; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21)

We believe that worship is an expression of our love to God.

In worship we reflect the glorious nature of God Himself. In corporate worship the church is encouraged and the work of God is supported through the preaching and teaching of the Bible; observing the Lord's Supper; through prayer and songs or praise; through fellowship; and through a collection of offering.

(Colossians 3:16; Acts 2:42, 20:7; Ephesians 5:19; 1 Corinthians 16:1-2)

We believe in J.O.Y. (Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last)

We must first love the Lord Jesus with all of our heart, soul, strength and mind. When we do, we will never stop loving His church or those who are eternally lost without Him.

(Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 5:43-48, 22:37-40; 1 John 3:14-16)

We believe in celebrating the Lord's Supper.

The bread and the cup is a fellowship meal with Jesus Himself. The Lord invites all believers to prepare themselves and remember the sacrifice of His life for our sins. We observe communion (Lord's Supper) weekly.

(Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:23-26)

We believe in commitment to service and missions.

We serve not our own interests, but Christ's, and He expects us to develop our God-given gifts for service through His church.

(Matthew 25:44-45, 28:18-20; John 13:14-17; James 2:14-17)

We believe the Elders are to exercise spiritual authority over the local congregation.

The Elders are responsible for modeling a Christian lifestyle through their relationships and service and for providing oversight of the church's ministries and funds. They are to also provide pastoral care through the preaching and teaching of sound doctrine and visitation of the sick and monitor the growth of disciples.

(1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 11:29-30, 20:28, 21:17-23; 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 5:17; Titus 1:5-9; James 5:14; Hebrews 13:17)

We are an autonomous congregation.
